Typical hours are 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. This position is based within Jefferson Regional Laboratory Department Job Summary: The Outpatient Reference Clerk is responsible for registering patients for laboratory testing. This role performs scheduled courier trips to reference client’s offices to pick-up specimens and deliver supplies. Other duties include processing specimens for laboratory testing and perform clerical duties as assigned and performing outpatient phlebotomy procedures.

Outpatient Reference Clerk Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical Diploma in phlebotomy preferred. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program preferred. Certification in phlebotomy preferred. This is a safety sensitive position. * Minimum Requirements : Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry. Willingness to learn and develop phlebotomy skills. Excellent customer service skills Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain acceptable driving record Ability to learn techniques for venipunctures Preferred Requirements : Experience in clinical setting Experience in phlebotomy procedure Benefits & Perks: your health and happiness matters!
