National Coordinating Organizing

This committee is primarily responsible for helu's goal of aligning the activities of higher education worker organizations. In particular, the committee brings together higher education worker organizations to (1) share information about best practices in contract bargaining and (2) share successful organizing strategies.

This committee is primarily responsible for (1) generating helu's national and state-level policy agenda to advance the interests of higher education workers, (2) implementing strategies to educate the public and policymakers about these issues, and (3) achieving policy reform.

This committee works to establish and maintain relationships with local unions, individuals, and organizations doing work similar to helu's. The outreach committee also recruits new members into helu.
