Ea ecoversity's ho'okanaka program supports its mission of providing culturally-driven learning for native hawaiians. In fy 23-24, ho'okanaka engaged 10 native hawaiian non-profit staff in year-round professional development, cultural and hawaiian language training, mentorship, and more.
Kanaka Culinary Arts
Ea ecoversity's kanaka culinary arts program aims to create a two-year, hybrid hawaiian culinary training program for young hawaiians aged 15-30, focusing on traditional hawaiian and locally-sourced ingredients.
Ka Papa Lo'i
Ea ecoversity's kapapa lo'I o keali'ikua'aina program supports a self-sustaining hawai'I where native hawaiians thrive through the perpetuation of traditional language and culture. In fy 23-24, staff and volunteers revitalized 5 acres of taro patches in waipi'o valley, creating year-round programming at the waipi'o taro patch complex.
