The utah education association is proud to celebrate a major victory for public workers and the incredible strength of collective action. On june 21, 2025 the lieutenant governor officially certified the referendum to repeal HB 267.

In fiscal year 2024-2025 uea has worked diligently to convert our members to an alternative method of paying dues called auto-pay. The purpose is to phase out the payment of dues by payroll deduction at the school district level. It is our goal to have 100% of our members on "auto pay" by the end of fiscal year 2025-2026.

The association served as representatives in labor negotiations with various school districts and provided a forum for its members to network with each other. The association serves approximately 18,000 members.
