Camp Opportunity provides a summer camp for children from the Baltimore area who have experienced abuse and/or neglect. Each child receives their own camp counselor for the week, leading to supportive, transformative relationships that can last long after camp is over. For the remainder of the year, interim activities are held with the campers to keep connected with their counselors. All services are of no-charge to the campers or their families.

Each year, Camp Opportunity volunteers and staff plan and implement a themed, week-long residential summer camp for 50 children ages 8-11, primarily from Central Maryland, who have experienced abuse and neglect. The camp program is unique in that it pairs the campers one-to-one with their own trained counselor for the entire week.
