After-School Programming

Kid power's after-school programs operates for 3 HOURS/DAY monday-friday for 36 weeks. Students participate in daily academic power hour sessions to receive homework help and academic enrichment support; additionally, students participate in a self-led ela intervention, read naturally, on a weekly basis.

Matches community mentors with middle and high school students to support high school graduation rates and foster social-emotional growth. Program activities include career site visits, college tours, and personalized mentoring goals through the mentoring road map (MRM), which focuses on academics, civic engagement, career development…
