Stephen Y. Nakada, MD, FACS, FRCS (Glasg.) is the David T.

Uehling Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, a position he has held since 2001 (founding chairman since 2008). Dr.

Nakada received his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed residency training at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester and an endourology fellowship at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis before joining UW faculty in 1995.

An internationally renowned expert in urolithiasis and urologic laparoscopy, he has authored or co-authored over 200 publications and received the AUA's 2004 Gold Cystoscope Award, 2017 Distinguished Service Award, and 2020 Hugh Hampton Young Award.
