Dr. Sandra Elaine Brooks, MD, MBA, FACOG, serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Community Health Equity Officer at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, where she also serves as Chief Medical Officer of the Center City Division.
She is a graduate of Howard University College of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Brigham and Women's Hospital (Harvard). She previously directed the division of gynecologic oncology at the University of Maryland for 10 years and architected Jefferson Hospital's REAL TALK vaccine promotion campaign to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in COVID-19 vaccination.
As of August 2024, she assumed the role of CEO of ACOG.
