She held a PhD in education administration from University of Wisconsin–Madison and advanced nursing credentials (MS in nursing/nursing administration from UW-Eau Claire). Prior to MyMichigan, she served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She died March 8, 2022, in a plane crash; the Diane Postler-Slattery Memorial Nursing Endowed Scholarship was established in her honor.
