John Fultz began his career in 1974 as an apprentice with Boilermakers Local 175, Oswego, New York, graduating as a journeyman in 1978. He served as Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer of L-175 from 1997, and later as a Construction Division International Representative.
He was appointed Assistant Director of Construction Sector Operations in 2009, and subsequently held roles as Executive Director-CSO and Special Assistant to the International President. He was then elected International Vice President for the Northeast Section, a position he holds as of 2026.
He also serves as a trustee and secretary for the Boilermakers National Health and Welfare Fund and the Boilermaker-Blacksmith National Pension Trust.
