Jill Medvedow is the former Ellen Matilda Poss Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) Boston, a position she held for 25 transformational years (1998–2025). Under her leadership, ICA grew from a small, non-collecting institution into a major contemporary art presence, increasing annual attendance from 25,000 to 280,000, overseeing the design and construction of a new building by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, acquiring a permanent collection for the first time, and co-commissioning the 2022 Venice Biennale.
