Karanja, a native of Kenya, East Africa, has served as President of Beulah Heights University since 2004, becoming the first African immigrant to lead a U.S. college.

His journey began in 1988 as a janitor at Beulah Heights Bible College, where he worked to fund his education. Under his leadership, the university has transformed into a multicultural institution, attracting students from over 45 countries.
