David Parsons is an acclaimed American choreographer, performer, teacher, director, and producer, best known as the Artistic Director and co-founder of Parsons Dance. Born in Chicago and raised in Kansas City, his journey into dance began at age nine, leading him to New York City at 17 on a scholarship to the Alvin Ailey School.
After a distinguished career as a principal dancer with the Paul Taylor Dance Company for eight years, Parsons co-founded Parsons Dance in 1985 with lighting designer Howell Binkley, driven by a vision to create athletic and engaging dance that brings joy to audiences worldwide.
