Dale W. Seuferling served as President of KU Endowment for 20 years (2002–2022) after a 41-year career with the organization, beginning as a student journalist at the University of Kansas in 1973.
Under his leadership, the endowment grew to nearly $3 billion in assets, providing approximately $200 million in annual support to the University of Kansas. He was instrumental in three of four major university fundraising campaigns, including Far Above: The Campaign for Kansas, which raised $1.66 billion.
He received the 2023 Fred Ellsworth Medallion, the Alumni Association's highest honor.
