Cuong Pham is a Vietnamese-American entrepreneur and cultural advocate, best known as the founder of Red Boat Fish Sauce. He immigrated to the United States from Saigon in 1979 and initially pursued a career in the high-tech industry, working as an engineer and IT consultant for nearly three decades at companies such as Apple, Oracle, and Verizon.
Driven by a deep desire to reconnect with and preserve the authentic culinary traditions of his homeland, Pham left his corporate career in 2006 to establish a traditional fish sauce factory on Phu Quoc island in Vietnam, launching the Red Boat brand in 2011. His efforts have been recognized for elevating Vietnamese culinary heritage globally.
He also serves as a "Partnership" for the Vietnam Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Vietnamese art and culture.
