Brad Adams is an American lawyer, founder, and Executive Director of Climate Rights International. He established the organization in 2022 after two decades as the Executive Director of the Asia Division at Human Rights Watch, where he oversaw investigations and advocacy in twenty countries.
His career began with legal aid work, founding the Berkeley Community Law Center, and then spending five years as a senior lawyer for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Cambodia. He is driven by the belief that climate change is a human rights emergency and that progress on climate change requires protecting human rights.
