Dr. Angela L.
Walker Franklin, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist, is the 15th President and CEO of Des Moines University, a position she has held since spring 2011 and is the first African-American and first female to lead the institution. Under her leadership, she has directed the largest expansion in DMU's history, including the development and opening of a new 88-acre campus in West Des Moines completed during the pandemic on time and on budget.
