Dr. Amy Wright is a fifth-generation native of Milledgeville, known for her extensive career in art history and museum leadership.
She served as the Executive Director of Georgia's Old Capital Heritage Center at the Depot from 2009 until her retirement in 2026, overseeing the creation of tours, curation of exhibits, and the relocation of the Heritage Center. Prior to this, she taught art history at Georgia State University, where she was recognized as "Most Valuable Teacher" in 2003.
She holds a Ph.D. in Art and Architectural History from Florida State University.
