Collections & Exhibitions
The current museum collection ranges from all types of objects and artifacts related to science, art, archaeology, history, and the environment of staten island. Over 2 million objects, art works, archival documents, photographs, books, and specimens are held in this collection for all visitors to learn about, research, and enjoy.

Public Programs and Education
Since 1907, the museum has offered a wide variety of classes, exhibitions, and research programs. Approximately 15,000 school children attended these programs to learn about art, natural science, and the cultural environment and history of S.I.

Visitor Services
The front line of contact with the public, visitor services creates a welcoming and informed experience for the visitor, communicating with the public about the museum and it's programs as well as local cultural points of interest.
