Where the work happens
To improve the accessibility and image of the downtown area, the NDP manages two city-owned downtown parking facilities for the metro govt. Of nashville. This provides an improved parking experience for visitors and patrons, and addresses one of the perceived obstacles to living, working and visiting downtown.
Provide downtown ambassadors who patrol the sidewalks and public space to aid in the safety, cleanliness and hospitality of the area 365 days a year. The safety ambassadors made 161,870 hospitality contacts, addressed 9,515 pan handling incidents, and made 48,336 business contacts in 2024.
Serves as the centralized source of information sharing regarding downtown activities through volunteer committees, networking events, three websites, social media applications, and 52 weekly e-newsletters. Total facebook followers as of december 2024 are 111,998.
