Community and Visitor Education Programs

During fy 2024, the organization expended 50,000 to offer environmental, cultural, and culinary education for regional visitors and local constituents through tours, talks and immersive experiences. The organization hosted more than 20 visiting groups and experiences over the course of the year.

The sonoran desert conference center operation supported workforce readiness, job training, and entrepreneur opportunities to the community of ajo and the surrounding region. These efforts included incubating food- based businesses in the community kitchen and offering market access for local makers and artists.
