Conservation
Approximately 70 youth are employed annually in our conservation programs.Trail Crews: Operating in the Berkshires, Connecticut, and nearby New York State, our trail crews maintain existing trails and build new ones for organizations such as the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Trustees of Reservations, and Columbia Land Conservancy.
AgricultureAnnually, we employ 10 20 youth and serve over 100 families annually through our agricultural programs. April Hill Farm and Farm Crew: At the April Hill Conservation and Education Center, we practice agriculture that responds to climate change, enhances soil health, and teaches sustainable farming methods.
EducationOur educational programs engaged over 896 students this year.Explore!: Middle school students from local public schools participate in after-school and summer programs focused on environmental education.
